Today's Kitchen-How To Make Puff Puff
Sweet, puff puff, cant resist the aroma coming from the woman selling down the road, make me always want to have some but instead of me constantly buying from her i've decided to make my own at home. I went online and searched for the recipe and now, i can make my very own puff puff at home without any stress. Read on if you want to know the recipe on how to make your own puff puff at home....
Ingredients
250g of Flour
2 teaspoon of yeast
Half teaspoon of grounded nutmeg (optional)
Granulated sugar to taste
Pinch of salt
Lukewarm water to mix
Vegetable Oil to fry
Directions
1.Put the flour in a clean bowl and add the nutmeg, some of the yeast, sugar and the pinch of salt and mix all the ingredient together.
2.Add the lukewarm water bit by bit with you hands and blend all ingredients together, making sure there are no lumps in it.
3.Mix the rest of the yeast in a lukewarm water and add to the flour mixed with the ingredients.
4.Make sure the mixture is not too watery like that of a pancake, see the photo below..
5.Cover the pastery mixture in an air tight container.
6.Leave in the container to rise for 40-45 minutes.
7.Fry with the vegetable oil and make sure its not deep fried to avoid it soaking the vegetable oil.
Now you're good to go. Serve hot or cold but if you want to enjoy it to the fullest, serve HOT!!!
