Today's Scripture- Avoid Competition

1 Peter 2:1-10
 A woman came to her husband to ask him to get her a new car but the husband was against it letting her know he was planning to invest the money he had been saving. She kept disturbing him and comparing herself to her friend who's husband just bought a car. Tired of her constant disturbance he then decided to buy her a new car. She was very existed but was unaware of the ill luck that would follow her afterwards. Two month later she was driving to see her friend to show off her newly acquired car but unfortunately for her she had an accident that almost claimed her life.
 A lot of people this days wrongly believe that the only way to be successful is being the top. They get jealous and frustrated when the see other acquire good things in life and so they do everything possible to outshine them. They could even go extra miles to acquire these worldly luxuries to make others worship them.
 The root of true achievement lies in the will to become the best of who you can become. Don't try to be like others, don't compete with others, your life is too short on this earth to be wasted on self comparism. Do what you love best, seek God face and see a change in your life. Winners don't compete with others but with themselves. I pray God in His infinite mercy will see us through.
