President Obama warns Trump that he 'will be watching' and will step in if Trump goes out of line

Outgoing President, Barrack Obama, who had earlier said he was going to take some quiet time off and even do some writing after he steps down, has now issued a warning to Trump, letting him know that he will not be silent if he notices Trump's policies and actions as president goes against certain core values and infringes on human rights.

Obama made this known during his final press conference on Friday. Some of the issues he brought up which could cause him to step out of the sidelines include; systemic discrimination, effort to silence dissent or the press and efforts to roll back voting rights. He also spoke on Trump's promise to deport illegal immigrants and warned him about 'rounding up' children for deportation.

"And for me, at least, I would put in that category efforts to round up kids who have grown up here and for all practical purposes are American kids, and send them someplace else, when they love this country, they are our kids' friends and their classmates and are now entering into community colleges or in some cases serving in our military ..."

"The notion that we would just arbitrarily, or because of politics, punish those kids, when they didn't do anything wrong themselves, I think would be something that would merit me speaking out." Obama said.
As president, Obama had actions in place to protect these immigrants but Trump has threatened to undo those actions when he becomes president.

Obama also touched on the issue of Trump's continuous bashing of the press, CNN especially, and the threat from his press team to kick reporters out of the white house, saying that the press is what keeps them honest and accountable.

"Having you in this building has made this place work better, it keeps us honest ... it makes us work harder,' he said."
Obama concluded by stating the possibilities that could result from being accepting of people and keeping opportunities open to everybody.
"If in fact we continue to keep opportunity open to everybody, then, yeah, we're going to have a woman president, we're going to have a Latino president, we're going to have a Jewish president, a Hindu president,' Obama said. 'You know, who knows who we're going to have?"
"I suspect we'll have a whole bunch of mixed-up presidents at some point, that nobody really knows what to call them. And that's fine."

Health; Trying to remove your earwax can lead to ear damage.

The body produces earwax (or "cerumen" to clean and protect ears. The wax collects dirt, dust and other matter, preventing them from getting farther into the ear.
"There is an inclination for people to want to clean their ears because they believe earwax is an indication of uncleanliness. This misinformation leads to unsafe ear health habits.
Everyday activities like moving your jaw and chewing help new earwax push old earwax to the ear opening where it flakes off or is washed off during bathing. This is a normal continual process, but sometimes this self-cleaning process fails. The result: a buildup of wax that can partly or fully block the ear canal.
Patients often think that they are preventing earwax from building up by cleaning out their ears with cotton swabs, paper clips, ear candles, or any number of unimaginable things that people put in their ears," -

"The problem is that this effort to eliminate earwax is only creating further issues because the earwax is just getting pushed down and impacted farther into the ear canal,".
"Anything that fits in the ear could cause serious harm to the ear drum and canal with the potential for temporary or even permanent damage," - DoctorsOfficeNg
The guidelines, published Jan. 3 in the journal Otolaryngology -- Head and Neck Surgery, state that excessive cleaning may irritate the ear canal, cause infection and even increase the chances of wax buildup, or cerumen impaction.
The new guidelines offer some tips on how to protect your ears:
1. Don't overdo it when cleaning your ears. Overcleaning can irritate the ear canal and possibly cause an infection.
2. Don't stick things in your ear. Cotton swabs, hair pins and toothpicks can cause a cut in the ear canal, a hole in the eardrum, and/or dislocation of the hearing bones, causing problems including hearing loss, dizziness and ringing.
3. Never use "ear candles." The guidelines say there is no evidence that this alternative medicine practice can remove impacted earwax. And so-called candling might cause serious damage to the ear canal and eardrum.
4. Do seek medical attention if you have hearing loss, ear fullness, drainage, bleeding or ear pain.
5. Do consult your medical provider to find out if you can treat cerumen impaction at home. Certain medical or ear conditions make some treatments unsafe, the authors of the guidelines explained.

End Time: Beware! Bats now feed on human blood - Study reveals

A new study published in December in the journal Acta Chiropterologica and first reported in New Scientist finds that the bats have started to feed on human blood, something scientists didn't even think was possible.

As people have started to move into the Caatinga dry forests of northeastern Brazil, they've been cutting down trees and hunting the tinamou and guan birds these bats would normally drain for a meal.
So a group of researchers from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco in Recife, Brazil, decided to test the bats' feces to see what they'd been eating as their normal meal sources disappeared, thinking they may have decided to turn to the animals that humans bring with them.

The authors of the study write that they wanted to know "how the species would behave in a situation of scarcity of wild birds and increase in the availability of domestic animals."
DNA analysis showed they'd been consuming chicken blood — not a big surprise. But it also showed that the bats had been preying on humans.
"We were quite surprised," Enrico Bernard, who led the study, told Sandrine Ceurstemont of New Scientist. "This species isn't adapted to feed on the blood of mammals."
Ceurstemont writes that the bats "are adapted to process fat, the main component of bird blood, as opposed to the thicker, high-protein blood of mammals."

As a dietary change, this isn't just creepy. Bats have a remarkable capacity to carry viruses that can be deadly to humans. In northeast Brazil, similar cases have led to rabies outbreaks in the past.
In 2005, deforestation and human movement led another sort of vampire bat (pictured above) to bite more than 1,000 people, infecting a number with rabies and causing at least 23 deaths.
The hairy-legged vampire bat has been known to carry the deadly hantavirus, according to New Scientist.

Teenager plunges to death while taking selfie

Alexander Sh, an 18-year-old, landed on a Mercedes G-Wagen car parked below the tower.
According to Express UK, Russian reports gave two versions over the student's tragic fall from close to a skating rink high above the Russian capital.

One was that he was "taking a selfie" when he fell, and the other that he had a furious row with his father before running to a rooftop helicopter pad and falling off.
The OKO - meaning The Eye - is currently the tallest in Europe with a height of 354 metres.

"One of the versions of what happened is that he tried to make a selfie.
"According to the building's security, young man had been with his father at the skating rink."
But news website Life.ru citing eyewitnesses said: "People said there was an argument between the young man and his father.
"In the heat of the moment Alexander ran to a helicopter pad and jumped off."

The graphic designer was not wearing a helmet and fractured her skull.
She died six days later.
Rufus Greenway, 47, said his wife – who'd had a drink – was not taking selfies at the time of the crash and called for wearing helmets to be made compulsory.
The dad, from Isleworth, West London, said: "She was just having a lovely time, happy to be with her mother for her mum's birthday.
"One second you're happy and then next second it's a train wreck."
